Step 1: Onboarding

  • Send Dr. Cindy any writings or information to repurpose (up to 50 pages) or helpful links, if applicable

  • 2-hr Author Interview

    • Understand the reader who can’t wait to read your book to decide the tone, level of information, and style for your book to WOW them

    • Set your goals for being an author, like more speaking engagements, growing your business, bragging rights, etc.

    • Brain dump of your stories and information that will connect with this reader and leave them ready to continue engaging with you

Step 2: Creative Process

  • Dr. Cindy waves her magic wand to create your Detailed Table of Contents and sends it to you within 2 weeks of your Author Interview

    Wand waving includes:

    • Consider other books similar to yours to position your book to stand out

    • Compile interview notes

    • Review your submitted writings to repurpose and plug them into the detailed outline

    • Project target length for the book and Writing Plan to complete it

  • 30-Day editing period to tweak the TOC so it reflects your vision for your book

  • 1-hr strategy session to finalize your deliverables

Step 3: Deliverables

  • Finalized, Detailed Table of Contents

  • Customized Writing Plan

You will be fully organized and confident with a plan to write your book.

The maximum time frame is up to six weeks from Author Interview to wrap up, although many people finish in 3-4 weeks.

What to Expect

As soon as you purchase Get My Book Started, you’ll be invited to schedule your Author Interview and share any writings to repurpose in your book.

The Author Interview is virtual, recorded on Zoom.

Besides sending your materials, there’s no preparation required.

(Some clients like to think about books they want theirs to be similar to, to get ideas for their books)

Be well-rested and hydrated, as well as eliminating any distractions to get the most out of your Author Interview.

 

putting it all together

You get a Table of Contents with detailed chapter outlines within 2 weeks of the Author Interview.

Plus, you're entitled to unlimited edits within 30 days of receipt of the Table of Contents for things you want to add/omit.

We wrap up with a meeting to plan your next steps to confidently write your book.

You will be fully organized and confident with a plan to write your book.

And, some clients who benefit from accountability and support may be a fit for the Author Mentorship program.

Others may decide Ghostwriting is for you and have me write your book.
